In March 2025, Kamas City paused new short-term rentals in homes and residential areas while it worked on a long-term policy. Nearby towns and unincorporated areas follow their own rules, and in June 2026, Summit County's draft list of neighborhoods for possible nightly rental limits included Samak and parts of Woodland. If rental income is part of your plan, we'll check where things stand before you make an offer.

Getting to the airport. Kamas is about 51 road miles from Salt Lake City International, compared with about 40 from Park City's Main Street.
