The Snyderville Basin isn't a city of its own. It's part of unincorporated Summit County, so the county handles things like planning and nightly rental licenses here, and it's in the Park City School District.

And Utah Olympic Park, built for the 2002 Winter Olympics and planned for ski jumping, bobsled, luge, and more in 2034, is about 3 road miles from the junction.

Traffic. Traffic at the I-80 and SR-224 interchange has been studied for years. UDOT has chosen an improvement plan for Kimball Junction and lists that work among projects starting in 2027 or 2028. Bus rapid transit on SR-224 is slated to start in 2028.
Short-term rentals
Outside Park City limits, nightly rentals (stays under 30 days) need a Summit County license, and many HOAs have their own rules. In June 2026, the county began discussing new limits in some neighborhoods with emergency-access concerns. Nothing was final at the time, so we'll check the current rules for any home you're serious about.
